Eventually I’ll stop talking about the week and move on to next week (literally). But between last night and today something amazing happened.
I actually slept for 6 hours straight (after only half a glass of Merlot).
I woke up this morning at 7am (who wakes up at 7am on Saturdays?!) and caught up on emails (I’m hopeless…there’s no way I can switch my phones to DND). Now the best part…I Skyped my England friends that I’m traveling around Europe with.
We talked about all the places we NEED to see and those that are optional. Cliffs of Moher aren’t optional. It’s a must see.
And then with all this talk of Ireland, I had to listen to Galway Girl by Steve Earle for a bit…

And, just like the Grinch, my heart must’ve grown two sizes or something from finally getting real sleep and talking about travel. In our hour chat the world went from disgusting gray (literally it’s pretty nasty outside) to colorful.
The deepest greatest desire of my heart has been awoken again.
