Dear Autumn,

In an attempt to be friends I’ve started drinking more Chai lattes, lighting candles when I’m home, and leaving the windows open at night.

I so do love a nice cool breeze in my house.

Dear Autumn,

You arrived quickly this year and with little warning. One day it was 80 degrees out the next morning it was 40. You didn’t give me much time to adjust but I’m trying my hardest.

Dear Autumn,

You should take a look at my mantelpiece…it just screams fall! Glitter pumpkin and all.

Dear Autumn,

There’s a glass jar on my coffee table with white seashells in it that we collected in Miami Beach. Every time I see it I remember walking along the shoreline with my #1 waiting for my jellyfish sting to go down. It was hot as hell but I was having the time of my life. What kind of memories like that can YOU bring to my coffee table?

Dear Autumn,

We already have a lot of things planned for you. Halloween, banquets, birthdays, Thanksgiving (and the official start of the holiday season).

Dear Autumn,

Please be kind to me. I’m trying to like you. I’m trying not to cry that summer is over and that it’ll be another 6 months until I see weather I like again.

Dear Autumn,

Let the adventures begin.
