Some two and a half years ago I read this AdWeek post interviewing Rich Sommer (Harry from Mad Men…my favorite show at the time).
The second question:
What’s the first information you consume in the morning?
I have an RSS reader, Feeddler. I mostly subscribe to board game blogs—they have reviews of new games and discussions about trends. It’s straight-up dork talk. Then there’s Lifehacker and AMC’sMad Men RSS feed, just to kind of see what they’re saying about us. Oftentimes they have interviews with cast members that I didn’t get to work with or know that well, so it’s kind of fun to read about their experience.
Hmm….What’s this “Lifehacker” website? It sounds promising.
Fast forward to today and I’m Lifehacker addicted. I don’t scroll through the feed like I used to just because I don’t have as much time as I used to, but I do love these three recurring segments:
How I Work // Featuring the different working routines of individuals from varying industries. I came about this series from Adam Savage’s profile.
Featured Desktop // Another series that provides insight this time into the desktops of others. Of course the natural off-shoot was Featured iOS Homescreen. I came about this series from this desktop. I love that photo….
Featured Bag // This is a more recent tag find but if you know anything about my love for “What’s In My Bag” posts on YouTube…this is right up my street.
