I have nothing worthwhile to say today (do I ever?) but since I’m participating in Justin’s April blogging challenge, I feel compelled to share something.
I’ve been listening to a lot of…meh…music lately. Here’s a sample playlist:
You Found Me – The Fray
Big Girls Don’t Cry (Personal) – Fergie
Someone Like You – Adele
Break Your Heart – Taio Cruz
Sigh No More – Mumford and Sons
Hammers and Strings – Jack’s Mannequin
Waking Up – One Republic
The Herald Song – Ke$ha
And of course, Only One by Yellowcard, which has been one of my top 5 favourite songs basically since it came out in 2004. The lyrics are just so good:
Broken this fragile thing now
And I can’t pick up the pieces
And I’ve thrown my words all around
But I can’t give you a reason
I feel so broken up
And I give up
I just want to tell you so you know
Here I go, scream my lungs out and try to get to you
You are my only one
I let go, there’s just no one that gets me like you do
You are my only one
Made my mistakes, let you down
And I can’t hold on for too long
Ran my whole life in the ground
And I can’t get up when you’re gone
