In one corner is “absence makes the heart grow fonder” and in the other is “out of sight, out of mind.”

In a few days this contest called Tweet-a-Meet starts. The gist of it is that two people tweet each other interesting facts about a location that Qatar airlines services. Each tweet is a mile and the 3 pairs with the most miles wins a pair of business class tickets to the destination of their choice.

My immediate and obvious next action was to check to see if Qatar airlines serviced England. But upon looking at the other photos on their site (Pisa, Paris, etc.) it got me to thinking…would I go back to England again if I got the chance? or would I go somewhere else?

I immediately felt like I was betraying my love but honestly…would you go back to someplace you loved again or would you go somewhere new?And more importantly, is my love of England starting to wane? Has it really been so long that I’m starting to forget about it? (The other day ago I struggled to remember what the SU was called…it’s the Hub, by the way).

On their list of destinations that I’ve never been to but would love to go:

  • Athens
  • Geneva
  • Barcelona
  • Alexandria
  • Vienna
  • Zurich
  • Damascus

I wouldn’t be a guaranteed good time like I know England would be but can you imagine going to Athens? (Not right now, maybe, but you know…)

Haven’t quite figured out what I make of this revelation. All I know is that I need to travel again soon. I’m a junkie and I need my fix.
